Sea and bring to the test skin during the summer: the high exposure to light can cause wrinkles and make your skin dry and rigid. It is necessary to moisturize the face, giving light and compact. Without having to resort to surgery real, but not limited to the application of creams, has been studied an innovative treatment based on an active hitherto unpublished: growth factors. A gel invented by plastic surgery Milanese Patricia Gilardino, a member of Sicpre (Italian Society of Plastic surgery, reconstructive and aesthetic). “In recent years, says Gilardino-increased the demand from women and men of products that can slow or mask the skin photo aging. From this need was my idea to build new gel-based growth factors to be applied on the face by iontophoresis, a device for transferring transdermal ultrasound.
The growth factors (GF), a diverse group of molecules that are responsible, among other things, to regulate the growth and cell proliferation, are present in more recent preparations of the pharmaceutical industry. Were initially used to treat wounds and skin ulcers, only recently was thought to use them for the rejuvenation of the skin. “It’s been shown that with the aging of the skin, the growth factor naturally fall- in epidermis says Dr. Milan.” The preparation that I made is based on the mix of three different growth factors, which are present in very low concentrations, as the aim is to stimulate the natural production by the skin. “The gel with growth factors can be compared, in short, revitalization without needles.
The treatment is especially recommended for the summer as hydrates the skin and prepares it all tan. “In view of the beautiful season-the plastic surgeon says Milan-has recommended a course of 4 / 5 sessions to be made in the studio. The gel is applied on the face with iontophoresis, a machine that absolutely painless promotes the penetration of the product in the deeper skin layers. The cycle is repeated by the return from vacation, back to moisturize and light skin made tough test from the air and sun. “Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes, costs between 70 and 80 euros.
The gel growth factors to improve the brightness and the skin smoothness, compacted skin, the flesh also lighter, reducing pigmentation irregular spots and reduces small wrinkles. “It is recommended for women aged 35 years or more, beginning to have the first signs of aging on the face, but it is also ideal to give a touch of youth to more mature skin-Gilardino said.” Like all non-surgical preparations can not make miracles, but the improvements are significant: the results open a new avenue for the treatment of aging skin omotossicologia.

The most effective protection against UV radiation is next to the Avoid the sun, protective clothing, supplemented by a sunscreen for the naked skin. For the consumer it was previously not easy, however, UV-protective clothing and to determine how effective the chosen garment UV radiation actually divert. That should now change. Security will bring a new seal, with the clothing is marked, the new EU standard.

A small, yellow sun shows the buyer, that the chosen piece of clothing a light protection factor of at least 40 and thus also has wet or severely stretched in front of harmful UV radiation protection.

But do we need such a seal, anyway? The popular view is widespread, clothing, regardless of the material and what kind manufactured, no matter whether wet or dry, always very well protected against UV radiation. Indeed there are very big differences: Most synthetic fibers protect much better than cotton. A wet T-shirt has only a fraction of protection against ultraviolet rays, which it had in the dry state. A UV-protective seal that is absolutely makes sense.

“The adequate protection from UV radiation is the face of rising skin cancer rates worldwide one of the most important preventive measures in the field of dermatology,” stresses Dr. Klaus Hoffmann, of the Department of Dermatology at St. Joseph Hospital of the Ruhr-University Bochum, together with colleagues in the development of the stamp has cooperated. Together with physicists, technologists textile and clothing manufacturers from across Europe have dermatologists standardized measurement methods for UV protection of textiles developed: The EU standard EN 13758-1 specifies how the permeability of UV radiation measured and the sun protection factor should be calculated. EN 13758-2, Part Two of the EU standards, determines which pieces of clothing as needed to be marked so that consumers UV-protective clothing when shopping also can easily identify. The seal will only garments with a sun protection factor of at least 40 (40 +) have. “This is a sufficient protection against sunburn, even under extreme conditions,” said Hoffmann. Apart from the small, yellow sun finds the buyer the standard number, and the sun protection factor 40 + in the reprinted stamp. Now the textile manufacturers in the train

The UV radiation from the sun to suspend, is a risk factor
for the development of skin cancer.
This applies to the two most common types of skin cancer: basal cell carcinoma
and the Squamous, two forms of mostly well-light curable skin cancer, and for
the rare but very aggressive melanoma. A recent study by U.S. scientists,
however, can suspect that the relationship between UV radiation and skin cancer
is more complex than previously thought.

Recent research suggests that promotes responsible for sunburn UV-B radiation
pale skin cancer, melanoma is not (directly).

In one study, American researchers, the influence of the energy-rich UV-B
radiation on the genome investigated. Laboratory tests on their blood cells from
melanoma patients that enhances UV-B radiation, the risk for the formation of
pale skin, but not for the emergence of melanoma. The latter has initially
puzzled.

UV-B radiation can fractures to the
strands of DNA to cause skin cancer and so trigger. This connection the
researchers wanted to further illuminate. As part of a study they took blood
samples from 469 patients with melanoma skin cancer or pale and 329 cancer-free
patients. The blood samples were in the laboratory UV-B radiation and 24 hours
later, the number of DNA breaks in the cells measured.

The result: The genome of patients with pale skin reacted much more sensitive to
UV-B radiation than that of the melanoma patients and the control group. A high
number of DNA breaks was associated with an almost threefold increased risk for
skin cancer associated bright. The propensity for such DNA breaks is through
individual problems with the genome repair reinforced. The risk for skin cancer
bright rose by an increase in the experimental UV-B for Dose further. But the
researchers found the same relationship between DNA breaks and risk of
melanoma.

But the results are no reason for complacency: the emergence of melanoma will
also be promoted UV light, however, probably through other mechanisms. Even the
UV-A radiation damages the DNA, but apparently not as dramatically: It causes no
strand breaks, but mutations, ie chemical changes in the molecules, which over
time accumulate. Eventually, according to the researchers, the DNA is damaged so
that the cells degenerate and also the dreaded malignant melanoma can form. The
recommendation is therefore continue: Protect yourself as well as possible
before the sun!

The Erythrasma is an infection of the upper layers of skin caused by the bacterium Corynebacterium minutissimum.

The Erythrasma mainly affects adults and diabetics; is much more common in the tropics. Like a fungal infection, the Erythrasma typically occurs where two areas of skin contact with each other, such as under the breasts, in the armpits, in the interdigital spaces of the feet and in the genital area, especially among males, where thighs touch the scrotum. The infection can cause irregular plates and pink which can then be converted into fine flakes of brownish color. In some people the infection spreads to the trunk and the anal region.

Doctors can easily diagnose a Erythrasma because Corynebacterium shows a characteristic glow red under ultraviolet light coral. An antibiotic such as tetracycline or erythromycin, oral, can eliminate the infection. The antibacterial soaps may also be useful. The Erythrasma can draw between 6 and 12 months later, then needed a second treatment.

The paronychia is an infection around the edge of a fingernail of the hand or foot.
The infection often starts out from a break in the skin, a manicure too traumatic or chronic irritation. As the region of the nails have little room to catch fire, the infection tends to be quite painful. Unlike most of the infections of skin, paronychia can be caused by different bacteria such as Pseudomonas and Proteus, as well as fungi like Candida.

Treatment
Compresses or hot baths help to relieve pain and often to eliminate (drain) the pus. The hot baths also increase blood circulation, which in turn helps fight infection. Sometimes the doctor drain the infection by practicing a small incision in the bag purulent (abscess) with a scalpel. Infections in which we get a proper drainage may not need treatment with antibiotics. If the infection tends to spread, the doctor may prescribe oral antibiotics.

If paronychia is caused by a fungus, the doctor drain the infection and prescribed an antifungal cream containing ketoconazole, or miconazole ciclopirox and advised hot baths. In severe cases prescribed an oral antifunga

Erysipelas
Erysipelas is a skin infection caused by streptococcus. Usually, the infection appears on the face, in the arm or leg, and often begins in an area of skin. A rash bright red, painful, slightly swollen and often form small blisters. Lymph nodes around the infected area may swell and become painful, people with particularly severe infections have fever and chills.

The oral treatment with penicillin or erythromycin for two weeks to cure infections usually mild. When the infection is acute, the first thing is to administer the antibiotic injection.

Cellulite
Cellulitis is an infection diffuse into the deep layers of skin and sometimes even below them.
The most frequent cause of cellulite, especially if they had a prior injury, is a strep infection. However, many other bacteria can cause cellulitis, especially after biting people or animals or after injuries in water.

The infection primarily affects the legs and often begins with a skin disruption caused by a minor injury, a sore or a fungal infection between fingers Cellulite causes inflammation, pain, heat and redness. Some areas have the appearance of bruising and may have small blisters. Symptoms of infection may be fever, chills, headaches and more serious complications such as confusion, hypotension and tachycardia.

Cellulite is easily recognizable, but to identify the bacteria causing the infection becomes more difficult. Doctors often take blood samples (sometimes leather) that are sent to the laboratory, where they grow and identify the bacteria.

Treatment of Cellulite
Immediate treatment can prevent the rapid spread of the infection and its arrival in the blood and other organs. Cellulite is often treated with penicillin or a drug like this, as the Dicloxacillin. Patients with mild cellulite can take oral antibiotics, the elderly and those with a rapid spread of cellulitis, a lot of fever or other evidence of serious infection requiring the first antibiotic injection before the start of oral use. If the infection is located in the legs and keep them elevated and apply cold and wet cloths relieves the discomfort and reduce inflammation.

If the appellant becomes cellulite, is probably caused by another illness (such as athlete’s foot), which should be appropriately treated.

Every two years a benign tumor of the skin, caused by a virus. We have found some 60 different viruses that can cause warts. Our virus infecting from person to person but can also be transmitted through self-infection from one place to another with the same person. The vast majority of warts in children disappear spontaneously within 2 years.

Symptoms
Warts occur primarily in children and adolescents:
-Hand and VERRUCA, “ordinary warts (verruca vulgaris), occurring either singly or in groups. They are rough, color tumors with thickened stock horn, sometimes with dark dots on the surface.
-Mosaic Warts are common on foot soles, which tightly seated, smaller warts produces several centimeters large colonies on the pressure bearing surfaces.
-Filamentous warts seen as dispersed, color pins in children, especially on the lips and nose.
-Flat warts: Large Millimeter, flat, color stains or knot think, usually on hand back or face.
-Cut of a so-called “common wart” (verruca vulgaris) shows black dots in alternately. These dots are blood vessels.

Treatment
It tends to treat when verruca pains, is cosmetic nuisance or give impaired function of the limb.
The ordinary verruca vulgaris softened in water and filas down. With a toothpick, press gently into our funds in verruca or put on a patch with salicylic acid. Trans-Ver-Sal our patches to put on at bedtime and may work overnight, has shown good results. verruca can also be made to disappear with the cold treatment.
Verruca flat is more difficult. The cream is lubricated into verruca 1 every day – the reaction becomes too strong, we must sparse out reading. It may need to last for months. If strong skin reaction, the sparse reading.
In many cases warts disappear sooner or later, by themselves, attacked by the immune system.
